I am a designer-maker of contemporary art jewellery, specialising in silver and small scale hot glass techniques. My work is often inspired by Light; my pieces are designed to reflect or refract light from external sources, or emit their own light through fluorescence or phosphorescence, while other pieces are inspired by vibrant city lights at night.
I love to juxtapose vivid colours against monochromatic schemes, and incorporate intricate detail into my pieces. By using coloured glass components and gemstones I am able to maintain bright, colourful elements in my work.
My current collections combine hollow, blown glass components with sterling silver, gold, lustres, enamels and faceted stones.
I have started to keep a blog; this is where you will be able to keep up to date with my activities, and find out my latest news. Currently, I work from my studio in Manchester in the U.K. and sell through a number of different shops, galleries, exhibitions, fairs and online; please see my ‘Events’ and ‘Outlets’ pages for more details. I am also happy work to commission; visit my ‘Contact’ page for the different ways you can get in touch to discuss your ideas.
